If the river supplies a good amount of small fish, a kingfisher couple may decide to go for as second (or even a third) breeding session.
While still feeding the first brood, they start displaying some courtship activity again.
Here the male is all excited about the venue of the female, announcing its imminent arrival by a strigent call.
