Birds

Great bustard

Otis tarda

The Great bustard is one of the rarest birds in Europe with only a few small populations, mainly in Spain and in Eastern Europe.

During the courtship, the male (right) displays all his beauty to impress the female (left).
In order not to disturb the birds, I got into a small hide before dawn and could only come out long after sunset. That was a 17-hours-session.
